Databricks AI: Instruction-Following Language Model

The AI by Databricks, dolly-v2-12b, is a large language model that is trained to follow instructions. It is built on the Databricks machine learning platform and is licensed for commercial use. The AI is trained on approximately 15,000 instruction/response fine-tuning records created by Databricks employees in various capability domains, including brainstorming, classification, open and closed QA, generation, information extraction, and summarization. It is not a state-of-the-art model, but it exhibits high-quality instruction-following behavior. The AI is available in smaller model sizes as well.
